VA / Aid & Attendance

VA Aid & Attendance for Phoenix metro families

Aid & Attendance can change what is affordable. Valor Senior Care is not a VA office and not a benefits law firm. We are the people who know which Phoenix metro communities work with those benefits — and when you need the VA or an accredited claims agent instead of us.

What Aid & Attendance is

Aid & Attendance is a VA pension add-on for wartime veterans and some surviving spouses who need help with daily care. It is not automatic, it is not the same as VA health care, and it is not a blank check. Used well, it can make a real assisted living or memory care community possible. Used late, families find out the community they liked does not work with the benefit at all.

Who it is for

Veterans and surviving spouses who served, who need help with bathing, dressing, or keeping a safe household, and who are looking at assisted living, memory care, or sometimes nursing in the Phoenix metro. Adult children who keep hearing “the VA should pay for this” and do not know which form, which office, or which community actually takes it.

How Joe helps — and where we stop

Joe is a retired Navy veteran and our VA liaison. He helps families understand how Aid & Attendance and related benefits show up in a placement: what communities in the Valley already work with them, what paperwork usually sits next to a tour, and when the next call is the VA or an accredited claims agent, not us. We do not file claims. We do not quote a dollar amount we cannot stand behind. We will not steer you to a community just because it is easy for us.

Placement itself is free for families. Call (480) 581-9340, send the intake, or read how the process works. Meet Joe on the team page.
